A. We use SKYNCARE medical grade systems to offer various Laser, Ultra Diode, ND Yag, Fractional Erbium, Thulium & IPL procedures. These advanced medical grade technologies provide the very best balance of clinical results, speed of treatment and client comfort. Skin rejuvenation, face & leg veins, tattoo removal, acne scarring, hair removal, fat and cellulite reduction are just some of the conditions we can treat with our systems. For tattoo & SPMU removal, we use Q-Switched Yag Laser.
A. Tattoo ink sits suspended under the skin in particles too big for the body to remove. The pigment of the ink absorbs the laser light & creates a photo-mechanical effect. The large ink particles of the tattoo are shattered into smaller particles. These particles are then removed naturally via the body's lymphatic system.
A. We recommend between 6 and 8 laser treatments. The exact number will depend on the size & colours of the tattoo.
A. Our SKYNCARE laser incorporates contact cooling to offer virtually pain free treatment.
A. White frosting is often seen during & after treatment which only lasts for 15-30 mins after treatment. The most common after effect is redness of the skin that can last for a day or so. Slight blistering can occur but this is very rare and will clear up within a few days.
A patch test is always carried out 2 weeks prior to any treatment to assess individual skin responses.
A. Yes. Lasers have been used in medicine for over 30 years and there is no evidence whatsoever to suggest that the treatment can lead to skin disorders or any increased risk of skin cancer. Extensive clinical trials for laser and IPL treatments have resulted in a very safe technique with a minimal risk of side effects.
A. The treatment should be avoided by anyone who is:
Hypersensitive to light, Suffering from live cold sores in the treatment area, Suffering from vitiligo (skin pigment loss), Pregnant. A full medical history will be taken prior to any treatment being offered to exclude any problems.
A. Avoid lotion, perfume & other cosmetics particulary on the area to be treated. The are should also be clean, shaven & unadorned (i.e piercings etc). Do not moisturise the skin, after care will advise will be given at the consultation.
A. You will need to book a consultation & patch test. A £20.00 fee applies for consultations covering an appointment time of 30-60 minutes. A thorough consultation is imperative to ensure clients are advised of the best procedures for them. This is to assess your needs, advise you of our expectations and recommendations for treatment.
